If you’re in a location that is close to your destination and a bit of a drive away from the things you want to do, you’ll be happy. If you want to stay in a location that is convenient to the things you want to do and close to your home, that’s a great location.
- Amenities
This is a tricky one. The RV park I’m in right now has no amenities. It’s a lovely place, but it’s nowhere near the things I want to do. My next park has all the amenities I’m looking for. It’s close to shopping, entertainment and attractions.

Most RV parks don’t have any amenities. The closest one I’ve been to has a small store. It’s not really a big deal, but the store is a few miles away. It’s a big hassle to have to drive to the store.
- Swimming pool
This is not a hard one to pick. I’d rather stay in a park with a pool than one without. A good swimming pool is a big attraction for me. I also like to hang out in a park with a pool, but not be in the park. I like to be able to leave the park, but still be close enough to swim. I don’t like being too far away from the park.
- Security
I don’t have anything to hide in my RV, but I want to feel safe and secure. I’m not worried about someone breaking into my RV, but I’d feel better if the park had a security system.
